Bahamas Vacation Guide



Bahamian Tropical Rum Drinks

Yellow Bird

1 1/4 oz. Light Rum
1/2 oz. Banana Liqueur
1/2 oz. Galliano Liqueur
2 oz's. Orange Juice
2 oz's. Pineapple Juice
1 Cherry and/or Slice of Orange

Pina Colada

1 1/4 oz. Gold Rum
1/2 oz. Coconut Liqueur
3 oz's. Pineapple Juice
1 1/2 oz. Cream
1/2 oz. Simple Syrup
1 Cherry

Planters Punch

1 1/4 oz. Dark Rum
2 oz's. Orange Juice
2 oz's. Pineapple Juice
Dash of Angostura Bitters
1/6 oz. Grenadine
1 Cherry and/or Slice of Orange

Bahama Breeze

1 oz Dark Rum
1/2 oz Banana Liqueur
1/2 oz Apricot Liqueur
1/2 oz Coconut Rum
1/4 oz Grenadine
1/4 oz Honey
1/2 oz Lemon Juice
1 oz Orange Juice
1 oz Pineapple juice

Blend well, serve with garnish and ice cubes in a tall glass.

Pineapple Cocktail

1 1/2 oz Light Rum
3/4 oz Pineapple Juice
drop of lemon juice

Use a shaker and add crushed ice

Mango Rum Cocktail

1 Mango(sliced and peeled)
1 can Frozen orange-pineapple concentrate
3/4 cup rum
Blend in mixer with ice until mixed but frothy.

Rum Runner

1 ounce light rum
2 ounces Tia Maria

Combine both ingredients and serve on ice

Rum Daiquiri

2 ounces Bacardi Light Rum
1 teaspoon sugar
1 dash lime juice

Shake well, serve on the rocks

Banana Daiquiri

1 1/2 oz light rum
1 tablespoon tripple sec
1/1 oz lime juice
1 oz banana liqueur
1/2 banana
1/2 oz heavy cream
1/2 cup crushed ice

Blend all ingredients in a blender on high speed until mixture is smooth. Pour into cocktail glass.


1 oz dark rum
1 oz white rum
1/2 oz Galliano
2 oz passion fruit syrup
1/2 oz orange juice
dash lime juice
dash pineapple juice

In a shaker mix both rums, Galliano, passion fruit syrup and orange juice. Shake very well. Strain into a glass with ice cubes and add lime and pineapple juices.

Big Mama

6 oz 202 rum
1/2 oz crushed ice
1oz cherry juice
2oz Jack Daniels
1oz apple juice

Stir all the ingredients together with ice. Strain into a previously chilled
tumbler with ice and serve.

Love Boat

Pineapple shell
1 sliced pear
1 sliced peach
1/2 cups red grapes
2 slices canned pineapple
6 oz canned pineapple syrup
1 cup vanilla sorbet
1 cup shaved ice
1 0z white rum

Blend all the ingredients together until smooth and serve in pineapple shell.

Bahama Mama

1 oz. Coconut Rum
1 1/4 oz. Gold Rum
1 1/2 oz. Nassau Royale Liqueur
2 oz's. Orange Juice
2 oz's. Pineapple Juice
Dash of Angostura Bitters (optional)
1/6 oz Grenadine
1 Cherry and/or Slice of Orange

Goombay Smash

1 1/4 oz. Gold Rum
1/2 oz. Coconut Liqueur
3 oz's. Pineapple Juice
2 Dashes of Lemon Juice
1 Dash of Simple Syrup
1 Cherry and/or Slice of Orange

Bossa Nova

1 1/4 oz. Light rum
1/2 oz. Apricot Brandy
1/2 oz. Galliano Liqueur
4 oz's. Pineapple Juice
1/2 oz. Lemon Juice
1 Cherry and/or Slice of Orange

Tropical Storm

2 oz Light Rum
1 oz Banana Liqueur
4 oz Orange juice
splash of Pineapple Juice
Splash of Grenadine

Pour over crushed ice, garnish and serve

Tropical Breeze

4 oz Orange, Banana, Pineapple Juice
1 oz Tripple Sec
1 1/2 oz Malibu Rum

Stir very well, pour over ice

Guava Daiquiri

1 can Guava Nectar (frozen)
15 oz Light Bacardi Rum
5 oz Bottled Lime Juice

Don't dilute the guava nectar, mix all the ingredients in a blender for about 15 seconds, then place in freezer for around 2 hours or until mixture is slushy. Remove from the freezer 20 minutes before serving. This mixture will serve four.

Banana Orange Daiquiri

1 1/2 cups banana (sliced)
1/2 cup light rum
1/2 cup sweet and sour cocktail mix (bottled)
1/4 cup concentrated orange juice (previously thawed)
30 ice cubes

Process first four ingredients in a blender until smooth, Adding ice cubes to blender one by one, blend until smooth, serve. This recipe is made to serve six.

Mai Tai

1 oz rum
1 oz dark rum
1 oz creme de noyaux or orgeat syrup
1/2 oz tripple sec
1 1/2 oz bottled sour mix
1 dash lime juice
cracked ice & ice cubes

Fill a mixing glass with crushed ice, then add both rums, creme de noyaux, tripple sec and sour mix. Shake very well and strain into a glass with ice cubes. Complete with lime juice and pineapple juice.

Fire Island Sunrise

1 oz white rum
1 oz vodka
1 oz orange juice
1 oz sweet and sour mix
dash cranberry juice

In a glass filled with ice, add rum and vodka, then add sweet and sour mix and orange juice. Stir. Add cranberry juice when serving.
